Landfill & Incineration Diversion

The UK disposes of approximately 8 million mattresses every year, the vast majority ending up in landfill or incineration. Rematt exists to change that. Every mattress we collect is diverted from waste and given a new purpose.

Recycling Figures

We track and report on every mattress we process. Our recycling rates consistently exceed industry benchmarks, with the majority of materials recovered and re-entered into the supply chain.

The Waste Hierarchy

We follow the waste hierarchy in everything we do: Reduce, Reuse, Refurbish, Recycle. Mattresses are first assessed for refurbishment into our ReSprung range before being considered for material recovery.

CO2 Reduction

By manufacturing locally, refurbishing spring units, and recycling end-of-life mattresses, we significantly reduce the carbon footprint associated with every mattress in our supply chain.

Material Recovery

Steel, foam, fibre, and fabric we recover and redirect all core mattress materials. Nothing is wasted. Recovered materials are sold back into manufacturing supply chains or repurposed for secondary use.

Circular Manufacturing

Our ReSprung range closes the loop entirely, reclaimed spring units from collected mattresses are refurbished and built into new products. Manufacture and recovery under one roof.
